The project covers an area of 154248m², and the main construction content includes the main project, environmental protection project, public project and auxiliary project. The main project includes the main plant (finished product warehouse, polymerization workshop, screening workshop and packaging workshop) and tank farm (styrene tank, pentane tank and xylene tank); environmental protection projects mainly include waste gas treatment facilities, in-plant sewage treatment stations and Incident pools, etc.; public works include public works workshops, substations, power distribution rooms and gas boiler rooms, etc.; auxiliary works include warehouses, circulating pools, and fire-fighting pools. The total investment of the project is 758 million yuan, including environmental protection investment of 22 million yuan; the project construction period is 12 months, the labor force is 158, and the annual working hours are 7920 hours. The proposed project is planned to be constructed in two phases, and the EPS production scale of each phase of the project is 120,000 tons/year.
The waste gas produced by this project includes organic waste gas from the low-temperature polymerization and washing section, dust-containing waste gas from the drying section, and combustion waste gas from natural gas boilers. Organic waste gas contains a small amount of non-methane total hydrocarbons such as styrene and xylene. It is first condensed, and the condensate is reused for production. The non-condensable gas enters the photocatalyst for further purification and reaches the "Odor Pollutant Emission Standard" (GB14554- 93) After the secondary standard and the secondary standard of "Comprehensive Emission Standard of Air Pollutants" (GB16297-1996), it is discharged through a 27m high exhaust cylinder; the total non-methane hydrocarbon emission is 1.94t/a, of which styrene 0.22t/a, xylene 0.02t/a. The main pollutants of dust-containing exhaust gas are polystyrene dust and a small amount of non-methane total hydrocarbons, which are processed by the bag filter to meet the "Shandong Province Stationary Source Air Particulate Comprehensive Emission Standard" (DB37/1996-2011) and "Air Pollutant Comprehensive Emission Standard" 》(GB16297-1996) After the second standard, it is discharged through another 27m high exhaust cylinder; the dust emission is 3.6 t/a, and the non-methane total hydrocarbon emission is 5.76 t/a. The boiler fuel is natural gas, and the pollutant concentration in the exhaust gas meets the "Shandong Province Boiler Air Pollutant Emission Standard" (DB27/2374-2013) and "Boiler Air Pollutant Emission Standard" (GB13271-2001). Gas cylinder emissions; SO₂, NOx, and soot emissions in the exhaust gas are 6.34t/a, 19.64t/a and 1.64t/a, respectively. This project adopts nitrogen sealing and pressure tank storage for the raw material tank area, which effectively reduces the discharge of unorganized waste gas in the tank area.
The wastewater produced by this project includes centrifugal wastewater, ground flushing water, circulating cooling sewage, boiler sewage, pure water production sewage, reverse osmosis sewage and domestic sewage. Centrifugal wastewater 850.9m³ /d and ground flushing water 18.4m³ /d are treated by the sewage treatment station built in the factory. After the effluent meets the A grade standard of "Sewage Discharged into Urban Sewer Water Quality Standard" (CJ343-2010), 50% (434.7) m³/d) sewage and domestic sewage (4.8m³/d) enter the sewage treatment plant of Lanshan Chemical Park for treatment, and discharge into Longwang River after reaching the first level A standard of the Pollutant Discharge Standard for Urban Sewage Treatment Plant (GB18918-2002) ; 50% of the sewage (434.6m³/d) is further processed by the in-plant sewage treatment station to reach the "Urban Sewage Recycling Industrial Water Quality" (GB/T 19923-2005) standard and then reused for the replenishment of circulating cooling water. The circulating cooling sewage, boiler sewage, pure water production sewage and reverse osmosis sewage total 770.9m³/d, which are clean sewage and are discharged into the rainwater pipe network of the park.
The solid waste of this project includes EPS compressed filter cake, sewage treatment station sludge, EPS dust collected by bag filter, unqualified sieving material from the screening process, and domestic garbage. EPS compressed filter cakes and sewage treatment station sludge are hazardous wastes and are entrusted to Qingdao Xintiandi Solid Waste Comprehensive Disposal Co., Ltd. for processing; EPS dust and unqualified screening materials are reused for production; domestic garbage is entrusted to the sanitation department for removal and transportation. The solid wastes of this project are effectively disposed of and will not cause pollution to the surrounding environment.
The noise sources of this project include centrifuges, screening machines, feed fans, etc., through the selection of low-noise equipment, installation of vibration damping devices, and strengthened management measures to reduce the impact of noise on the surroundings. It is predicted that the noise at the boundary of the plant meets the requirements of Class 3 standards in the "Emission Standard for Environmental Noise at the Boundary of Industrial Enterprises" (GB12348-2008).
